If we can get the 6th seed at arch madness and play MSU in the first game I'd be thrilled and even like our chances. We need to avoid the playin round and the 1 and 2 seeds on Friday.

Since my "team" isn't going anywhere I would really like to see CU and Wichita both go no worse than 15-3. That would secure at large berths. Then have random third team win the MVC tournament to get three in.

When Bradley sucks I am all about the league doing well. I wish you all well but I'm tired of cheering for the league :)

Ah, the salve for lackluster attendance: Creighton.

A little too full of yourself? Thinking Dougie's return might have more to do with the interest and not so much the mighty BlueJay drawing machine, but I could be mistaken.

Maybe, but UNI wouldn't be the first opponent that had one of its best home crowds of the season when Creighton comes to town. Illinois St did. MSU did. WSU did (and even made it their Black out game, even thought they don't wear black any more 8-) ). Drake almost certainly will on Wednesday. I'm not sure about Bradley....

EDIT - Just looked it up - Bradley had their highest home attendance of the season against Creighton too. That means that very single MVC school that Creighton has played to date has had not just one of their highest, but their highest home attendance when Creighton comes to town. In fact, in most cases it isn't even close.

Uh, hello! Creighton is in 1st place and ranked in the top 25. This would be true of any school in this position. Get over yourself.

You don't think maybe the McDermott combo situation might have a little, if not a ton to do with it at UNI? Couple that with it being a saturday afternoon game.

UNI just hosted a game against an in state rival on national TV and it looked like a high school crowd. Do you still do the interlude? If so, don't people come out of the styx to attend games just to do that. It's so freaking cool ya know?

No it wouldn't. UNI can't even sell out its own arena when ranked; they certainly won't sell out everybody else's. Drake was ranked for most of the season in 2008. I would be surprised to find out that they attracted the largest crowds at each of their road venues that year (I tried to look it up, but I can't find previous year's attendance data on the MVC site).

Let's see...UNI has

@ Indiana State
@ Missouri State
Southern Illinois
Creighton
@ Wichita State
Illinois State
@Evansville
Bradley
Southern Illinois

I see UNI going 6-3 the rest of the way (assuming the Jekyll is actually starting to go away, as UNI has been playing well as of late)

Really? You don't think people fill up their arenas when top 25 teams come into their towns?

Don't ask Illinois State. We avoid playing tough competition whenever possible :buddies:

UNI is leading the conference in road attendance right now at 8500.
