Ah, the salve for lackluster attendance: Creighton.
A little too full of yourself? Thinking Dougie's return might have more to do with the interest and not so much the mighty BlueJay drawing machine, but I could be mistaken.

Maybe, but UNI wouldn't be the first opponent that had one of its best home crowds of the season when Creighton comes to town. Illinois St did. MSU did. WSU did (and even made it their Black out game, even thought they don't wear black any more). Drake almost certainly will on Wednesday. I'm not sure about Bradley....
EDIT - Just looked it up - Bradley had their highest home attendance of the season against Creighton too. That means that very single MVC school that Creighton has played to date has had not just one of their highest, but their highest home attendance when Creighton comes to town. In fact, in most cases it isn't even close.

You don't think maybe the McDermott combo situation might have a little, if not a ton to do with it at UNI? Couple that with it being a saturday afternoon game.

No it wouldn't. UNI can't even sell out its own arena when ranked; they certainly won't sell out everybody else's. Drake was ranked for most of the season in 2008. I would be surprised to find out that they attracted the largest crowds at each of their road venues that year (I tried to look it up, but I can't find previous year's attendance data on the MVC site).
