The same thing happened with the Aces. They went from 73 to 87 with 2 wins. It is just a factor of how dreadful the bottom 5 teams in the Valley are this year- statistically speaking. One of the reasons I am afraid that the MVC might be a 1 bid league this year.
The non-conference schedules of SIU and UE just might prevent one of them from a tourney shot.

Might? .. UE or SIU are not getting in without winning arch madness. You simply can't have a schedule as bad as those two and get in. Neither have any quality wins, and have no chance in the conference season to get any.

I said 'might' because I am an optimist. The only way it might happen would be if they win the next 18 games and lose on a buzzer-beater in the MVC final. Even that would still be iffy at best. But that is less likely than the Colts' 9-game parlay that needed to happen yesterday.
The realist in me agrees with you whole-heartedly. I am just used to choosing my words carefully. Some Aces fans think our low-major non-conference schedule and pay for play CIT championships are important. Looking over the last 5 years, the NIT should have happened Colt Ryan's senior year and this year should be the NCAA year.
