Maybe others see the loss of Prim as a death knell?

As soon as we're sure Mosely is back, they jump right into that group for me. I truly hope he is because he's a blast to watch.

I was going to question the MSU omission as well, but decided to let it ride for now. Since UNI is in the same position with Green , didn't see them as in any better shape than MSU. MSU has 3 starters back w/o Mosley, 3 very good recruits signed, and Ford will get what he needs in the spring/summer if it requires an add or two. Now UNI seems to be the one team that is Ford's bugaboo, but then we play other teams better than them; but I can see why you would see them ahead of the Bears, but I think the Bears will always have talent to challenge under Ford.

In my opinion, I think the last word of your statement is the reason Missouri State is behind the other teams mentioned. There has been a lot of talent there recently.

Oh, I totally agree. It's not that they'll be anywhere near 'bad' it's just Mosley makes them special.

I included UNI because the rumblings are more and more pointing to Green coming back because one hip still isn't right and at this point his pro future can wait a year because it's not like there are any financial concerns with the family or anything.

I think the biggest takeaway is that this league is on an awesome trajectory.

Seems more likely to me Mosley stays that AJ. AJ is graduating, his dad left, and from a lot of what I have heard, he is ready to move on. Mosley on the other hand still has one more year to graduate, he didn't leave last year when he could have, and his best friend from high school has another year left on the team (Jamonta Black). Not sure how much I still think that he stays, but it definitely seems within the realm of possibility, and more likely than AJ staying.

That makes zero sense; I think the MSU has so much more talent mantra is a bit over stated. Perhaps the recognition that Ford is able to identify and coach up talent needs to be stressed more, because it's not like our guys were all 3 and 4 star guys we beat P-5 programs for. I think it bares noting that previous players like Desilva, Cook,Webster, etc all performed well above their recruiting status under Ford ; his problem has been getting a consistent level of play from his team, but other than Devries current and Jake historic, who's doing a better job than Ford .Of course we have to see how Belmont and Murray St transition and they have proven coaches too. I just think the idea that Ford grabs better talent and under coaches them is not as cut and dried as some think. More accurate is he has a good eye for potential, can sell himself and program, and then knows how to develop and use that potential . He has weaknesses in some areas , but again, tell me who other than the guys mentioned, are doing a better job in this league.

BC, what you said about Green seems very contrary to what we were all told coming into the year, that being that Green was not only healthy, but had significantly increased his athleticism, verticals etc. Not discounting what you're now saying, just find it interesting that it differs greatly from the preseason buzz.

He took an awkward fall in Hawaii and it's been bothering him since. He's playing through it but it's not great. Especially when he tries to turn the corner or defend quicker guys laterally. Hopefully rest takes care of it after the year and they don't need to do anything else for him.

Huge game tomorrow in Springfield with the Ramblers taking on my hometown Bears. The Mosely Williamson matchup will be pivotal in my opinion.

I think that is a league wide problem, not just at Missouri State. Think about this...
Bradley fired Jim Les in 2011. They hired Geno Ford, then fired him after 4 years. Now Brian Wardle is there. Is Wardle a major upgrade over Les?
Evansville is a complete disaster and has been for a while.
Illinois State lost Tim Jankovich to SMU and replaced him Dan Muller. If they don't keep Muller, can they hire someone that is an upgrade?
Southern Illinois was run into the ground by Chris Lowery, then had 7 years with Barry Hinson. Then they hired Bryan Mullins on the strength of him being the PG that they loved and being an assistant coach on some really good teams. Isn't that the same reason they hired Lowery? Keep in mind, this comes after having Bruce Weber and Matt Painter.
Valparaiso had the Drew family, now they have Matt Lottich. I think that speaks for itself.
Drake and Northern Iowa have really quality head coaches and I believe Indiana State does as well, but it's still a little early to tell at ISU.
Don't worry, it happens everywhere.
