So far this season there are two certainties I have noticed:

Officials sometimes make bad calls

WSU always wins.

WSU was far and away the better team for the last 30 minutes. Mock had a couple of rough fouls, but so did Carter. Guess what? WSU has other players on the team to make up for a few bad calls, where as UE has two guys. That's why we won. We were bigger, stronger, more athletic, and deeper.

Ballentine is a nice player and a great shooter! He is probably one of the top 10 players in the league, and as a sophomore, he is sure to get better.

Good luck the rest of the way!

Looking forward to the rematch here in Evansville. The Aces just have a way to make WSU uncomfortable. Expect UE to get a lot more borderline calls on their home court. I expect a very close game, maybe even the Aces giving the Shocks their first loss.

WSU might have won had this not been such a terribly-called game, but this final score did not prove anything to anyone who actually watched the game.

You just can't change what happened on the floor with those refs....not fair, not accurate, nothing to brag about!

Thank you! This comes as close as anything to being a good explanation to the game's resulting score...yes, the officials sometimes made bad calls in this game. Yes, Mock had a couple of rough fouls. And, yes, our loss of Mock for the last half of the first half because of those fouls .....and our lack of the same strong bench that WSU has,,,,helped immensely to bring the Shockers back into the game. Those are all true facts, and those facts pretty much explain why we lost our lead.

And, yes, Balentine is one fine player and a great shooter...and only a sophomore, and sure to get better....as will the rest of our young team.

Thanks for that recognition...and for the good luck offering....I think our team earned it, and I think you are a straight-shooting Shocker fan for offering those comments!

Add "the refs blew the game" to the constant excuse by the opponents' fans. Goes right along side the "We just didn't shoot well tonight or we would have won" excuse that many teams like to use lol.

Looked like another double digit win. The SHOX only out scored Evansville by 29 after Evansville's initial burst. And that was after the walkons gave up a few points a the end of the game.

Onto the next . Gonna be a tough week this next week for the SHOX.

Why? Can't take your refs with you?

I give the Shockers credit for being a very good team....I have watched them play all year, when possible. I will not give them credit for winning this game with their normal skilled play...this win was, indeed, as much a result of the reffing as it was WSU's admittedly-good play.

My Aces have a long way to go to be as good a team as the Shockers, but today they played as well and had to combat bad calls, calls that kept our guys on the bench, calls that sent Shockers to the free throw line, and calls that simply were uncalled on our end of the floor.....no one is saying UE is better than the Shockers...but it would have been a truer test had the refs not teamed up with the home team.

Re-tee this game up and watch it with someone who isn't a homer that really knows the game so they can teach it to you.

The Shox got the majority of calls. They would have won anyway because they are the better team. Nothing to see here.

Early put up a 4' jump shot and the ball only went 2'. No call.

The calls are bad both ways, Jack.

What you meant to say was the Shockers made the majority of the plays to win the game handily. Stop with the BS of officials calls. Nothing more to see here. Good luck with SWMO Wednesday.

Please stop. You sound like the Purple Teenager.

There were many reasons that the Aces lost today, not just one reason.

I will give you just one of the reasons for the loss - Player Simmons and the rest of the white guys running around out there with him.
