WSU always wins.
WSU was far and away the better team for the last 30 minutes. Mock had a couple of rough fouls, but so did Carter. Guess what? WSU has other players on the team to make up for a few bad calls, where as UE has two guys. That's why we won. We were bigger, stronger, more athletic, and deeper.
Ballentine is a nice player and a great shooter! He is probably one of the top 10 players in the league, and as a sophomore, he is sure to get better.
Good luck the rest of the way!
Thank you! This comes as close as anything to being a good explanation to the game's resulting score...yes, the officials sometimes made bad calls in this game. Yes, Mock had a couple of rough fouls. And, yes, our loss of Mock for the last half of the first half because of those fouls .....and our lack of the same strong bench that WSU has,,,,helped immensely to bring the Shockers back into the game. Those are all true facts, and those facts pretty much explain why we lost our lead.
And, yes, Balentine is one fine player and a great shooter...and only a sophomore, and sure to get better....as will the rest of our young team.
Thanks for that recognition...and for the good luck offering....I think our team earned it, and I think you are a straight-shooting Shocker fan for offering those comments!
