All Award Winners for MVC Predictions (before Tuesday)

Awards start getting announced tomorrow. Here are my predictions for all awards...

POY - Lee
NCOY - Johnson (any other year Shamet gets this, but he wins FOY instead)
FOY - Shamet
DPOY - Should be Wills, but guessing Lee or Zack Brown get it
COY - Hinson (just kidding)....guessing Muller wins this given nobody predicted 17-1 for ISUr this season

Actual Prediction
POY - Lee
NCOY - Johnson
FOY - Shamet
DPOY - Brown
COY - Muller - Main reason is the McIntosh injury. He was able to not drop a game he shouldn't even without MM. If both teams were healthy throughout the year, I'd give the nod to Marshall just because he replaced 2 NBA guards and 2 other solid role players and still went 17-1 with an Average MOV of >20

In my opinion...

POY - Shamet (Lee is a fantastic leader, but turnover machine except for Saturday...he was good Saturday)
NCOY - Johnson/Shamet tied (Johnson was really, really good)
FOY - Shamet
DPOY - Wills
COY - Muller

I also want to mention that IF McIntosh were healthy all season, he would be in strong consideration for POY.

I think he is our best player when healthy. I hope this week off til Friday gets him into shape and near 100% for the 3 day run at Arch.

Cool. I think this is a good list.

I also agree with your other post that MM is ISU's best player. I hope the week off is good for him. 3 games in 3 days could be rough. From what I've heard the bigger problem with these 'little' knee surgeries is less about gameday, and more about the next day. But those are the same for 2 days in the conference tourney.

Perhaps we should do a "If you were a voter" take on this. List your top 3 for each spot, as the voters do. Then "if you were a voter for your team," list your top 3 for each spot excluding your own team.

COY: Marshall. Muller has been predicting ISU would win for 3 years, which means the talent is there. Marshall lost a lot of talent and still has the team playing best right now going into Arch Madness.
