I agree with this. However, it's (A) never going to happen cuz $$$ and (B) doesn't really apply in this case anyway.

Yea, it is definitely frustrating for Belmont, Monmouth, etc. to dominate their league all season only to watch another school ankle bite them in their tournament (especially for Monmouth since the conference tournament loss was a de facto road game).

Conference tournaments are fun but it's generally a dumb system. $$$ and TV are the two reasons status quo will continue to reign.

I'm just not sure that outside of the top 5-8 conferences the money and TV is really working out in their favor on the whole.
