After I read it 2-3 more times, I figured he meant to type that the ball sailed out of bounds, and not that the ball said out of bounds....that was the part that had me confused.

Unfortunately for Drake, of the 3 true point guards on the team, 2 of them are injured, and the 3rd just isn't any good. Even though Wedel isn't a point guard, he's probably Drake's best option there right now. He's not quick enough, or a good enough ballhandler or passer to be effective at the point. He was recruited for his shooting ability, and that gets really minimized too, when he's playing the 1.
