Last year was also the worst season Murray state has had in 30yrs . we have routinely gone to Evansville and beat them. Routinely win at SIU. I think Murray has a winning record all time vs MVC teams.

Would you care to substantiate your "routine wins at SIU" with some data please?

I'm not in for a "major dose of reality" lmao as I have watched us beat more MVC teams than we lost to in my 40+ years following Racer basketball. Reality my friend is we hold a winning record all time and the last decade versus your conference.

I caution you to see the difference between a one off non-con game versus the grind of a double round robin.

I have no doubt that Murray State would be a good add and be successful but there is a learning curve when you make a step up in level.

Agreed, just pointing out that we aren't exactly chopped liver.

BTW, I don't think any of us can predict what the schools will ultimately vote to do behind closed doors. Programs tend to do what is good for their programs and not so much what is good for everyone else. We have seen that first hand in our dealings with the rest of the OVC.

How has Murray done post season since Belmont joined OVC?

PS- if you would care to check, Murray State has an all time losing record against SIU, so it would be darned curious, how in the H Murray would routinely beat SIU in Carbondale, balls in your court though.

So, Murray wins against Evansville by 2 points in both 2013 and 2014 while having NBA players on the roster and Evansville had Mockevicius and Balentine. Evansville won in overtime by 4 in 2015 and then by 32 points in 2016 with both teams in rebuild years. Looks like a pretty even matchup. It's a good rivalry.

Routine meaning its a fairly even series. Although I do believe the alltime series is even after last seasons OT win by SIU. Yes last seasons trip to Evansville want good. Ill admit that but check Murray's alltime series with Evansville. Pretty sure the Racers have more than double the amount of wins the aces have.
