The Loyola addition (and a single add this time around) signal exactly what is wrong with this conference. WSU created options and bolted when what they worked to create was created.

This league when Creighton left could not survive on bottom of the barrel Horizon teams.

The Loyola hate is getting kinda weird brah. I'm down to talk hoops, X's and O's, recruiting, etc. But there's no real logical thread to what you're trying to spew out. You basically seem mad that LU fans...idk exist?

We didn't hold a gun to anyones head to force our way in the Valley, the powers at be let it happen. LU fans aren't delusional, we know we need to fill the stadium, we're pretty conflicted with Porter as a coach (he's raised the program significantly, next year it's time to prove if he can take it to the next level), we get that we're not Creighton; but i don't think of the options at the time even there was another Creighton (even Valpo) but our program has made significant strides... I'm sorry you had a poor trip to Chicago, it's a big city and there are crappy people no matter where you go.

We haven't won the conference but have shown steady improvement throughout the years... landed two great freshmen, JuCo's second leading scorer, have another 3 star redshirt transfer coming in, plus return the 6th man of the year, a third teamer in ingram, and two rock solid guards in Custer and Richardson. Scheduling wise we hosted Creighton two seasons ago, have NC State coming this year, but also all agree we want a scheduling upgrade.

We were pretty upset with how the season ended. We should have won at least 3-4 more conference games. I frequently lament several blown games over fouls (one of which was very questionable by the refs, one was fair, and one was just bone headed UNI/ISUr/MSU). We played WSU up to the last two minutes at their house... Still all loses, moral victories suck and i think to most LU fans they don't exist anymore. We want to win. We want to prove anyone who dumped on us when we joined that we belong.

I'd love to hear who you root for, what you think of your teams chances next season, they're strengths/flaws... not looking to go just go in circles over how "pathetic" other fanbases are. That craps just sad, i get nothing from it.

Even if the MVC had added Valpo instead of LU, WSU would have jumped on an AAC invite. They simply outgrew this league. They were going to go to a more competitive conference regardless of who the MVC added (sans a top 25, autobid caliber team).

Valpo is not an autobid team and would have only helped WSU's RPI SLIGHTLY compared to LU's (I believe TAS ran some models to prove this).

Moser cannot coach. He had two players last year who at some point were on Big 12 rosters, and still could not beat Drake.

He already flamed out in the league, what makes you think he will take you guys to the promise land?

No doubt his coaching hasn't been what is needed. But the roster has been improving every year (not many MVC teams can say that). I'd say he has a year or two left to prove himself here. However, I think this is the year we finish top 3 and have a serious chance of winning Arch Madness.

With Valpo's addition to the league, the two best recruiting classes this year now belong to the two newest members. But sure, continue to sit back and blame LU for the conference's issues--not Bradley or ISUb or Drake. Since we've joined the conference, no current member has made the tourney except UNI. But yeah, we are the problem.

You need to take off your Loyola-hating glasses for a minute and look around the conference.

Recruiting classes don't mean dick if you can't develop them.

I'll take a "lesser" recruiting class with a coach that can develop players, coach a system, create a game plan, and make in game adjustments every single day over someone that can recruit "the best class". What's even laughable as F*** about that is by looking at the average stars every single school falls within THREE TENTHS OF A STAR.

Even funnier? UNI is at the bottom of those rankings EVERY year, and I do mean every year. Yet what was that line in your post...

Since we've joined the conference, no current member has made the tourney except UNI.

UNI is the only program to win an NCAA game in the last decade left in this conference.
UNI owns all but 2 NCAA shares the conference has earned over the last decade. One of those two expires this year with the "last decade".
UNI has 7 NCAA appearances since the start of the 03/04 season. The rest of the MVC schools left in the conference have 7 COMBINED BETWEEN ALL 8 OF THEM TOTAL OVER THAT TIME and 4 of those belong to SIU between 03 and 07

Please keep bragging about recruiting classes that are three tenths of a point higher than UNI.

All those highly rated recruiting classes Valpo has pulled in? No NCAA wins since 1998 and only 2 NCAA appearances since joining the Horizon from The Summit a decade ago.
