Early MVC Predictions

Thought I'd start this year's too early to tell list so here goes:

1)Missouri St- If not now, then never
2)Loyola- Porter could make me look really dumb putting them this high
3)Bradley- Donte Thomas should be a beast this year, lack of big man overcome by depth of roster
4)ISU Red- they lose a ton and Muller doesn't have a tight grip on the wheel
5)SIU
6)UNI- Jacobsen finds a way to stay out of Thursday- always
7)Valparaiso
8)Trees
9)Drake
10)Evansville

I think it'll be more of a "who doesn't lose the MVC" this season.

Tier 1
Missouri State - On paper they should win, but coaching might hold them back.
Loyola - Definitely trending up the last 2-3 years. Maybe this is a breakout campaign.

Tier 2
Illinois State - They were good last year, but lost everyone. Don't see them any higher than a 3rd place finish.
Northern Iowa - Hard to bet against Ben Jacobson

Tier 3 (you can put any of these teams in any order)
Southern Illinois - Middle of the pack once again.
Indiana State - Slightly homerish, but the Sycs have solid returners and a very good recruiting class with some athletes coming in.
Bradley - Trending up, maybe a year or two away from challenging at the top still.
Valpo - New kids on the block. Will be fun to see them adapt to the MVC.

Tier 4
Drake - Let's see what their new coach can do

Tier 5
Evansville - Could be their worst team in D1 era...
