What is the common thread with all of Drakes Conference opponents up to now? They all have one Conference loss, and it was to Drake!! I am not crowning Drake the Champion, but they are much better than anticipated. Three teams have yet to win a game in conference this year. If Drake goes .500 with them it will take them to 6 wins. I think 9 wins keep you out of Thursday. I say Drake has a good chance to snap that streak of Thursday night games in STL!!

Exactly, Unless their team just stops producing I don't think they will be fighting to stay out too hard.

Remember last year when Drake started 4-2 in the league and everybody was convinced that they were going to finish in the upper half and UNI started 0-5 and people were convinced they would play on Thursday for the first time in 13 years?

How did that work out?

LU looks a bit lost as of late. Custer going down just has the ball movement spiraling at times; and the offense is sputtering a tad adjusting to Richardsons re-addition to the lineup as he finds his rhythm (second game back last night and he didn't look right at all).

The game last night was super physical with extremely questionable reffing (on both sides; there were so many questionable non-calls, and then weird calls late, particularly one that went in Loyola's favor); it also included the refs not reviewing the game sealing shot by Brenton Scott; who had the ball clearly in his hands as shot clock expired (there are stills of it on twitter; should have been Loyola ball down 2 with about 9 seconds remaining).

I'm not panicked at the moment but I am annoyed; playing without our top 2 guards we gave Missouri State a solid game. They need to figure out how to play without Custer, running the offense through Krutwig can be really effective but he's still a freshmen so there will be bad games like he had last night.

I really feel like every team in the MVC has a good chance to beat anyone. The conference floor is high and the ceiling is relatively low compared to previous years. No team should be scared of anyone, but at the no team should go in expecting a cake walk.

I'm glad history always repeats itself. If it happened last year it must happen again, right? Drake should just pack up now. UNI has the Valley locked down

If that's the case, and watching it I thought he got it off, you should fire Porter immediately. He has to go ape s*** there and force a review. He moved on right away and I don't think he thought it was a violation.

Having been at the game, he did; he's not on camera after the shot. The refs kinda ignored him. Then he nearly followed a ref off the court following the game. I agree I would want him to be on the court but the way they were calling it they might have decided to T him up.

I get your point. But it's irresponsible to not review such a close shot late; why have replay if you're not going to use it IN THAT SITUATION. Still, I hear ya.

So far both UNI and MSU are struggling to score. MSU has had more chances but only has 4 points after 8 minutes.

The Bears all of a sudden come awake. 4 points in 8 minutes then 18 points in the next 8 minutes. Refs are calling a bunch of small fouls on MSU. UNI hasn't looked great again so far on offense tonight. They are putting up a lot of contested shots late in the shot clock. One of their 3s was hit from deep NBA range due to the shot clock expiring but many have been misses. They have been able to keep it close through the Bears run.

Boy do the Bears look like the team to beat this year. The amount of offensive and defensive talent on this team is great. UNI hasn't had a sound possession for a long time and the Bears are now scoring with ease.

When will the refs realize people are tuning in to watch the athletes not the refs!? After last nights Peoria showing, things seem to be the same tonight. 24 fouls called in first half. Sometimes it is hard to watch!
