We would have beaten them at full strength last night by double digits. Ive never understood why a team we tied in the standings with and everyone back was picked 1st and we were picked 7th. just a ridiculous ranking by almost all prognosticators. MSU is a good team but nowhere near as good as Loyola, who I expect to win the league going away. Until BU learns to take a road punch and respond, we will be in the middle of the standings. Hopefully that starts at the trees on Sunday.
Interesting. So a mental toughness issue? I remember when they played in Gentile we just let them take open threes because nothing was falling for them for most of the game.
I think a big part of MSU as the favorite was that they're junior/senior heavy, athletic across the board, and Alize Johnson. While Bradley is still pretty young across the board, and from what I've seen of Bradley fans they aren't nearly as athletic as fans would want. MSU should be better but they're not. I'd expect Bradley to be higher in the standings next season assuming the wheels don't fall off.
From what I can tell with MSU, Lusk sounds like the ideal assistant coach in terms of his ability to identify talent but maaaaaan...
