Bracketbusters

It's everyone favorite time of the year again... Bracketbusters!! Pairings will be announced tomorrow. It looks like the MVC will get the shaft again, with only WSU and Indiana State getting decent games among the teams at the top.If everything were based off RPI, we would have TV games of:

Wichita State (48) George Mason(35)
Valparaiso (54) Missouri State(37)
Northern Iowa(67) Vermont(88)
Indiana State(112) Iona(105)

Other matchups based solely from RPI:

Fairfield(132) Evansville(116)
Liberty(142) Creighton(124)
Southern Illinois(172) Boise State(171)
William & Mary(259) Bradley(260)
Drake(225) Charleston Southern(232)
Montana State(223) Illinois State(237)

Just curious where you have VCU going if not to UNI...They can't go to Drexel or Madison and surely the CAA leader won't be sent to a team in the 100s

You are right. In the RPI, they would match up with Drexel.

Slide MSU down to play at Drexel and VCU up to play Valpo.

I still think there is an outside shot that MSU gets sent to St. Mary's or ODU. ESPN is pretty big on getting the best TV games and two teams that could make a serious run in March together. No offense to Cleveland State or Valpo.

But if I were a betting man, I think they let regions play a part in pairing teams

Mason @ WSU
MSU @ Drexel
Kent St @ UNI
Miami-OH @ ISUb
UE @ Liberty
CU @ Murray St
Wis-GB @ SIU

Although, there aren't a ton of west teams so I could CU possibly getting a better game because of getting sent to Long Beach State

I am hoping for Mason. It would be fun to have them back in Koch Arena!!

I would be very excited if someone at the network got excited about a UNI-Utah State matchup.

I don't think there's a chance that ESPN is going to pick Indiana St looking at their overall record and current losing streak.

Sounds like it will probably be VCU @ WSU

I'm expecting MSU to draw Drexel after tonight's home loss, which is a complete no-win for the Bears. They'd play a team with an RPI in the 60s in front of 1500 people barely over .500 in-conference.

I think the Bears will still draw Valpo, which could still be a good game since Valpo is still in the run for their conference. At least it'll be easier than playing @ Old Dominion or @ St. Marys
