Saturday's Games

Trends have slumped a bit lately, 3-4 last 7, but still making money at 11-7 ATS for year. Opening lines given. Home team in CAPS.

WICHITA STATE (-17) vs. Bradley

Big number. The Shockers are 9-5 ATS as favorites, but only 2-4 ATS at home this year and 0-3 ATS in their last three at home. Bradley gives us very little to play with only being 4-5 ATS in true road games and 4-8 ATS as an underdog. No play. PREDICTION: Wichita State 77-60.

CREIGHTON (-5) vs. Indiana State

Creighton has taken care of us ATS more than any other conference team. They are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games. They are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 as favorites. Indiana State has slumped ATS recently but remains a strong 6-4 ATS as an underdog, and they are 3-1 ATS in road conference games. However, they have everyone's attention now. Losing to Evansville Wednesday night takes this play down some as their focus may be better coming off that loss, but Creighton has revenge for a tough loss in Terre Haute. Play Creighton and their hot ATS streak.
PREDICTION: Creighton 72-62

EVANSVILLE (-3.5) vs. Southern Illinois

The Aces have not been strong ATS plays at home only going 2-4. They are 2-2 as favorites and 2-2 in conference home games ATS. This is more of a play against SIU. They are only 3-8-1 ATS as underdogs, 1-5-1 in true road games ATS, and 1-3-1 ATS in conference road games. Aces on a nice roll. PREDICTION: Evansville 66-59.

They did play Bradley so I would cut them some slack...

Bradley took 33 seconds to shoot every time down the dang court! They were lucky to get over 40 points in the game.

Yeah the Koch atmosphere today was similar to JQH's last Saturday for about 90% of the game. It's hard getting big atmospheres going when you're blowing out 0-11 teams.

If Jim Les's game plan was to take the crowd out of the game, he was golden. Give him an extension and a big raise.

Sitting through the game at CKA was boring. I thought maybe it would look better in HD. I was wrong -- just as ho-hum. We did hold Mr. Magic #24 to below his game average (that kid is GOOD), but you could still fall asleep between plays. Hate it when a team takes 33 seconds to do anything EVERY TIME DOWN THE COURT.

Yeah Jim Les stole the "stall ball" game plan and it worked. Instead of losing by 40 they only lost by 20 and made the game EXTREMELY boring. Thank God I don't have to watch that kind of game plan all the time. For Bradley fan's sake I hope that Les counts that "experiment" a failure and doesn't go back to that kind of offense again.

Maybe Les can run stall ball against Evansville in the play-in game and we can watch a game finish in the teens.
