The # of great players to come out of Chicago Simeon over the years is rivaled by very few HS in the country.

Jones is a high upside play by Coach Medved. He is clearly going after a different type of player than Ray did.

I love what Drake's doing recruiting wise.

LU recruited Moore early, really like him as a scoring guard. While we didn't recruit Jones, but i wish we had. Undersized 4, with bounce and a super high motor. Reminds me of christian thomas, or a more athletic (but far less polished) version of Aundre Jackson

Simeon's coach compares him to a smaller Ed Morrow....I'd be ok with that.

Jones gives Drake something they've been missing in recent years....a 6'6" long, athletic rebounder/shot blocker. Seems like every team in the MVC has those guys, except Drake.

Still keeping my fingers crossed that Drake can also get his high school teammate, Xavier Pinson.

Xavier Pinson ended up committing to Kent State.

I didn't care about Pinson. Jones was the target. I actually thought they might have offered Pinson just to get Jones.

With Niko's departure Jones has now decommitted.
