No...they may be able to catch SIU or DU, but I don't think they're going to get past UE.

Southern Illinois might be able to catch Evansville. Going to be a tight race between them.

So ... Can I pick WSU, Bradley, UE, UNI, and Drake as Tues/Wed winners?

Those wins would:
Put UE in a tie for fourth (with Indy State)
Give UE a one game lead on CU
Put UE 3 games out of Thursday
Put UE one game behind UNI for third

Hey, a guy can wish, right?

Loving the 3 game Redbird win streak....unfortunately we will probably soon be on a 5 game losing streak.

The good news is that it seems improbable that Bradley will catch us in the standings :Cheers:

That's setting the standard about as high as the Redbirds' non-conference schedule.

It's a slim to none chance that the redbirds avoid Thursday at this point, but a 7th place finish is not out of the question. Here's how our schedule looks the rest of the way through...

@ UNI
@ WSU
vs. In st.
Vs. Mo St
@ Creighton
vs. BU
@ E-Ville

Winning at least one game @ UNI or Creighton will go along way, but we would still have to take car of business against In St., BU and of course @E-ville to try and overcome them to avoid thursday. Unfortunatley, with our weak SOS, a tie in the standings could land us in 7th even if we fight to make it to that spot.

E-Ville does have some tough matchups left with...

vs. Mo St.
@ Creighton
vs. UNI
@ BU
vs. WSU
@ Drake
vs. ISU

It's entirely possible for them to only get 2-3 wins in this final stretch. It could very well come down to the final game against us (ISU) to avoid thursday in the event that we are tied in the standings at that point.

Needless to say, I am not rooting for E-Ville, SIU and Drake to win any more games the rest of the season.......Creighton too.
