Happened upon this thread by accident and had to laugh.

We had the fortune of WSU joining our league and the misfortune of their online fan base coming with.

They walked into the AAC board all cocky they would win the conference and contend for a national title. In the OOC season, it was non-stop griping each time an AAC team didn't pull through. As if the newbie is the Grand Arbiter of the league's performance.

As they faltered in AAC play, no credit was given to AAC teams or step-up in competition. Every loss was either mired in controversial officiating or internal problems with the team independent of their opponents. They never lost an AAC game.

Then came the AAC tournament. Rob Gray committed the capital offense of shhh'ing them and they beat the dead horse of how much a "thug" he was. This is the same Rob Gray who took selfies with other schools fans, signed autographs, and had fun with Memphis fans even after a loss.

They completely trashed the board to the point it was untenable and the site's owner washed the AAC forum's hands of them, to the support of everyone. They had unlimited warnings until then. Every game thread turned into a flame war of some of their fans vs everyone. Of course, it was all a conspiracy against WSU if you ask them. Yeah, WSU of all schools headlined the hit list of the GT Admin. Right.

They did have a weird thing with the Big East. It wasn't UConn posting the most hate against the Big East. It wasn't Cincy. It was Wichita. How does that remotely make sense? Beats me.

Some of their fans' self-worth seemed rooted entirely on the backs of 18-22 year olds bouncing a ball. Coldblooded lived in insecurity over how the world perceived his Shockers. He'd incite others to invade holylandofhoops, mvcfans, etc. Why would we care? What a loser.

The silver lining was watching ShockerFever unravel with meltdowns that would give a 4 year old secondhand embarrassment. Other than that, good riddance.

This sounds exactly like our website when they were in this conference, minus coldblooded. Fever lived here (and his parents basement).

By the way, their obsession with the big east is rooted with Creighton.

I think some of the Shocker fans who come around just love basketball and enjoyed the Valley. They still like to discuss the MVC.
Some of the obnoxious Shocker fans don't get the MVC has it's own final four team in Loyola, and have plenty to talk about.
We don't need to hear from Shocker fans on what it takes to compete at a high level.

Something else that's funny?

Their last scholarship was just filled with a transfer kid that has an attitude problem... he shoved, and swore at one of their coaches during practice.

Shocker fans are now welcoming him by saying it's about time they got someone with an edge because they were "too soft" last year.

Shockerland is HILARIOUS.

SHOX lost any good vibe from me after the Cle Early, Tekele Cotton, Ron Baker, & Fred VanVleet era ended.
They were enjoyable to watch and root for, in March.
Thought it was a bit funny (actually sad) how some of their fans thought they were actually part of that run and deserved the same "props", for what the basketball team had accomplished.
Blocking the white noise, became a pretty easy thing to do.
I just stopped visiting MVCfans, as often
Then SHOX....."moved on up to the East Side".....
Seems, now they might be doing the same thing or perhaps even worse, over there?
The thing is, their 15 mins came and went.
Karma's a bitch.

After reading through this, it is nice to know that Shocker fans are missed by you all, especially by Illinois State fans. Like musiccitybulldog said, there was a final four team from the Valley so there is plenty to talk about, yet you have a two page thread about us.

You guys just make it easy. Going to be fun kicking you all when you're down.

Please continue to hang around after your slide into what you once were is complete.

Oh, and ShockerFever... since I know you're still reading this board since you're "obsessed" with us. Do you not get the fact that nobody likes you? Your old conference hates you. Your new conference hates you. You've now been kicked out of 2 conference message boards and you support a team which is in a backwards slide. Time to look in the mirror and realize your castle is crumbling around you.

HILARIOUS.
