I kid but ordinance citations (considered quasi-criminal) have nothing to do with this. Though Yarbrough did get an underage drinking citation we're talking about criminal charges. Police in Normal, Peoria, East Lansing etc will all investigate reports of theft, DWLS and battery.

I agree were done here. You just want it to be true so bad you won't even let the facts com out and the legal process play out. Get a neck brace so you can look up at the Birds this season

So, you're now arguing with a practicing attorney about the law. JFC, go f*** yourself.

You can continue to be Jailbird State and the classy throat slashing and gun gestures pointed at the other team during lineups can be your calling card. Its a reflection on your entire university as well as your head coach. If my head coach was bringing in human scum, I sure as hell would pull support from the program. The most successful programs in this league (sans Wichita) of the last 20 years were built on culture and if Muller doesn't want to acknowledge that, he's going to continue to come up just short.

-One fan is not a reflection of the whole program.

-Waiting for the truth to come out on this case is probably wise here. A practicing attorney of law should also know the phrase "innocent until proven guilty" before casting judgement on this specific case

-Generally speaking, however, Muller brings in (or already has) what appears to be one kid per year that makes poor decisions. That does not mean that his entire roster of 14 (13 scholarships + walk-on) are not upstanding student-athletes. 1/14 = 7% of his roster

-Finally, it's clear to me BCPanther, all Bradley fans, and some others truly hate ISUr. Does not mean the whole fan-base should be hated, because we either (a) grew up in Bloomington-Normal (myself) or (b) went to school there. The same can be said for Shocker Nation. Yes, Shocker Fever is the biggest douche known to man, but he is not a reflection on the ENTIRE fan base. He is just the most vocal message board troll there is.
You can hate ISUr for having bad apples or good apples that make poor decisions. You can hate Muller for recruiting these risky kids rather than upstanding Iowa farm boys, but to generalize a fan base due to message board posts is asinine. I would assume less than 5% of those that follow our programs actually post on these message boards...think about that when you generalize.

Then why all the fake outrage if you don't really care?

Because its an embarrassment. The reason I "don't care" is because nothing is going to happen, which means it isn't much of a talking point...but it should be.

I don't to come on here and have these threads hijacked for a week because another ISU player got arrested and no one is going to do anything about it. I don't want to be talking about this. I want to talk about recruiting, I want to talk about speculation for how everyone is going to do next season, coaching changes, transfers, player development, and a million other topics that actually involve the game of basketball and basically ANYTHING that doesn't involve the criminal justice system.

Now I don't know all the details and i don't know what's happening behind closed doors, but it sure as h**l looks like Dan Muller just doesn't care about discipline and would rather win at all costs.

But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe Milik has just gotten very unlucky and has been in the wrong place at the wrong time over and over and over again. I don't know. I'm just tired of talking about it with the same players at the same school when no one does anything about it.

I appreciate your more rational comments regarding this situation. Most Redbirds fans are embarrassed
and concerned about this recurring problem but to say Muller "just doesn't care about discipline and would rather win at all costs." is just wrong. He ran off Hawkins and DJ Clayton because of their issues. Couldn't the Birds have won the Valley last year with Hawkins & Clayton as Seniors if winning was all that matters?

We shall see what happens with MY but there is a lot left to play out here.

Okay, that's fair. Maybe that quote was a bit of hyperbole, but that point still remains.

Also, how much of Hawkins was Muller "running him off" as opposed to Hawkins seeking greener pastures? I always assumed/was led to believe that was more of Hawkins decision than Mullers.

In my opinion if McIntosh stayed I think Dan would have tried to keep Hawkins because they were set up for a tourney run. Once McIntosh was gone I don't think Dan cared either way. I' don't believe Dan ran him off. I don't think he was forced to find another school. I think Dan would have happily had him on last season's team if that was the choice Hawkins made. I think ultimately it was Hawkins decision but I don't think Dan tried to keep him after McIntosh (and Lee to graduation) and their tourney chances went up in smoke. But, that's just my opinion.

You just generalized the entire Bradley fan base after complaining about people generalizing the entire ISUr fan base.

If Teddy Hawkins wanted to be on the ISU team last season he would have been on the team.
