It's annoying having to pay but all things considered it's not a bad deal considering all the additional content it includes like UFC, Boxing, MLB, MLS (if you like watching bad soccer), basketball, etc.

Let's be honest, they have us all by the balls. If you are hanging around this message board you are likely a big enough fan of your College Basketball team to pay for this service for 3-4 months a year. I'll pay for the 1yr subscription for $50 and I'll closely monitor if they increase prices over the next few years.

Everyone had to have known this day was coming. ESPN3 was created to get consumer comfortable with the idea of watching games on the internet and they were always planning on creating a subscription service from day 1. The MVC league office and schools knew this was coming for a long time and agreed to it as part of their TV deal with ESPN.

The era of getting "free" content online is coming to an end: newspaper articles, etc. I get it. I still don't see enough value from a service like the 'The Athletic', though. Live sport content is way more valuable to me personally.

Honestly, I get it. It just ruffles my feathers when they try to sell it to us like its a great new thing that we should be super pumped about. We aren't stupid.

You know how you used to get all the MVC games on ESPN3 through your cable subscription? Well guess what? You can now watch all the games like you used to before, only now you are going to need to pay $5 a month to access some of them. How sweet is that?

And ESPN3 wasn't free. You needed a cable subscription. Weakens cable even more. One more reason to cut the cord.

That's the part I see; you always were paying , it's now directly to ESPN[Disney]. At least under many of these new streaming options, I'm not being expected to pay for a ton of channels I have no interest in in order to get the few I do.

Will ESPN+ be available on your TV or is it on the computer?

ESPN app. So, through internet. With a Firestick or Roku the ESPN app is already on those devices so you can get them through you're TV since those devices make you hook internet up through your TV. Even if you don't have one of those devices just hook a cord from you TV to your computer. Or do it wirelessly if possible. It's 2018 who doesn't have internet on their TV?

If you are an android user, Chromecast is so easy to use. That's how I watch ESPN3 and pretty much all my sports, pull the game up in the app on your phone, hit a button and it plays it on your TV.

Good question. Both. But you need a device to get it on your tv.

A subscriber can watch ESPN+ in the Watch tab of the latest version of the ESPN App, available on the web, iPhone, iPad, tvOS, Android Handset, Roku, Chromecast and FireTV.

Or you can just buy an HDMI cable for <$15 and hook up to your computer.

Remember you can just purchase the 7 day free trial whenever and test everything out (say with a cheap HDMI cable) before investing.
