I'll start: I like his selection of Golder for Valpo, especially if you consider Evelyn as already having broken out. He looks like a player who has the complete package. He's athletic he can shoot and defend. I think Mileek McMillan and Derrik Smits could also be also poised for big years. Smits really seemed to be putting it together on the offensive end at the end of the year and McMillan--who showed many flashes of high-end potential--is working very hard this offseason.

Micah Bradford is the wildcard on the team. The offense fares a lot better when he plays on-ball as a distributor and can use his speed to create for others. I hope he is the starting PG with Evelyn playing off the ball. Unless of course Javon Freeman-Liberty busts down the door as a freshman and takes the starting job at SG, which is certainly possible. The coaching staff and fanbase are very high on him. In that case, Evelyn is the starting PG.

Another player to watch out for is the now eligible transfer form Providence Ryan Fazekas. We're not entirely sure how he'll be used but his size and shooting ability will ensure that he sees significant minutes. This far out, I'm not sure what the lineup will be, after all, we still have an open scholarship, but I expect a very competitive team this year.

I like the Elijah Clarance pick so far based off of what Illinois State returns. For a team that returns every player who contributed, MVC fans know what to expect from the Redbirds. The big 3 are Milik, Fayne, and Keyshawn.

Elijah is currently starting PG for Sweden in the 20U Euro Championships. At this point, they have played five friendly games, which are exhibitions against teams in the Euro Championship. He is averaging 22 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 2.6 steals, 3.2 turnovers. He's shooting just shy of 40% from 3pt land, 57% overall from the field, and just shy of 60% from the FT line.

Obviously, we would love to see that FT number go up, and turnovers go down, but to me this stat line says he has the ball a LOT and has been attacking the rim with success. Muller was really supportive of Elijah playing for the national team. Muller and Elijah know what he needs to get better at. One of those things is confidence. The only way to do that is to play a lot of games. Elijah will be in our top 8 for sure.

A guy we haven't seen anything from but is hyped in Normal is Zach Copeland. Copeland is expected to be a knockdown shooter, and a slasher. We'll see.

If someone from last season's team is going to break out other than Clarance, it will be William (Boogie) Tinsley. Toward the end of the season and the MVC Tournament, he really started to settle in and buy in defensively which kind of allow the offense to come to him. He is a long 6'6-6'7 shooter who should really cut to the basket more than he has. If he can keep defenders honest and sag off to stop the drive, Boogie will be able to get more 3's off and when they are going in, look out! He cut to the basket a few times during the MVC tournament and it really opened up his game.

I'm not sure what "break out" is but if Marcus Bartley, Cook, Lloyd, Fletcher, Bol and Pippen expand their PPG but 2-3 points each we will be hard to handle.

For INSU - I think Key will have a breakout year and possibly Devin Thomas if he stays healthy. Really hope Rickman has a breakout year. We are also anxious to see what Cooper Neese will be able to do against real competition (He can shoot and score). Anybody else will be a plus and will determine how INSU finishes this year. The team will look different this year. Hopefully our bench will provide something this year.

In addition to Childs for the Braves keep an eye on DLO. Already an elite defender, he was getting to the line with regularity by the end of the season. 10/12 in Arch semis vs Loyola, 13 ppg the last 4 games. Braves are gonna need him and Childs to step up their game.

Didn't know I would need to copy the players' initials from 2 pages ago in this thread for all future Bradley posts.

EC = Elijah Childs
KB = Koch Bar
DLO = Dwayne Lautier Ogunleye
AP = Antoine Pittman
LVP = Luke van Bree (somehow?)
NK = Nake Kennell
JH = Jayden Hodgson
DBJ = Darrell Brown Jr.

Aher Uguak for the Ramblers. New Mexico transfer who didn't play much as a freshman their before moving after a coaching change. Hyper athletic, smooth game, high major body (6'7, 210Ibs). He played in the Canadian all star game after putting up 27 points,10 rebounds, and 6 assists a game with an absurd 72% from field in his junior year (I realize it's Canada, but 72% is crazy).

He committed to New Mexico on his first visit to any school so recruiting really never got much buzz; i'd be curious to see where he would have ended up had he waited some time. When he originally committed to New Mexico his club coach said "I think if he chose to go to a post-grad or a prep school, he’d end up being a high major recruit (in the class of 2017), so I think UNM is doing the right thing getting him now.”

Buzz around the team going back to last season was pretty high; and the last 3 redshirt transfers all turned out great and really grew their game under Moser (Doyle, Custer, Townes). I wouldn't be surprised to see him vie for the teams leading scorer next season filling in the void left by Ingram.

I mean most of what i said is objectively true; those were his stats in high school and that is a quote from his high school coach (https://www.abqjournal.com/663491/lobos ... rward.html). You could debate smooth game and hyper athletic if you haven't seen him play; and given our last 3 red shirt transfers have been double digit scorers it's pretty reasonable.

It's the off season have some fun.
