Looks like eight definite Q1/2 games (top 150). Of course, this is subject to change by how well/poor this season teams fare.

1. vs Florida Gulf Coast Eagles (Q3) on November 6th (End of a H&H)
2. @ Belmont Bruins on (Q2) November 10th (Start of a H&H)
3. vs Chicago State Cougars (Q4) on November 13th (Buying them)
4. MTE Georgia Bulldogs (Q2) one November 19th (Tournament)
5. MTE Clemson Tigers (Q1) or Akron Zips (Q4 and almost Q3) on November 20th (Tournament)
6. MTE Creighton Bluejays (Q1 possibly Q2 this season), St. Bonaventure Bonnies (Q1 possibly Q2 this season), Boise State Broncos (Q1 but probably Q2 this season), or Georgia State Pounce (barely Q2) on November 21st (Tournament)
7. vs Lindenwood Lions (D2 -- doesn't count) on November 24th (D2 -- buying them)
8. vs Brigham Young Cougars (Q1) on November 28th (End of H&H)
9. vs San Diego State Aztecs (Q1) on December 1st (MWC/MVC Challenge)
10. @ Illinois-Chicago Flames (Q4 and almost Q3) on December 5th (Third game of a four game series)
11. vs Ole Miss Landsharks (barely Q2 but have a new coach) on December 8th (End of H&H)
12. vs Cleveland State Vikings (Q4) on December 16th (Buying them)
13. @ Central Florida Golden Knights (Q2 but probably Q1 this season) on December 21st (Start of H&H)

Also, I never heard of VCU even being close. I don't know where ADunk came up with that. Ask him.
Also x 2, would hurt to have four Q4 games if it falls that way. Hopefully, just two.

How does this schedule compare to UNI's last year which had them among at-large consideration before the start of conference play? I'd say pretty favorably overall. Less P5 games at the top of the College Basketball world but less bottom-dwelling games too. Many more quality mids.

Those homegames won't be Q1...

Piss-poor isn't the word I would use at all. There are plenty of quality games. If the Birds take care of business I am certain they will get plenty of consideration for an at-large.

The schedule isnt bad just the fact they still need to go at least 29-5 to get an at large.

I don't know if I agree with that either. I certainly think you have more wiggle room than the 2016-2017 team had and more than Loyola had last year. Compare your schedule this year with the 16-17 version:

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... /year/2017

And here's Loyola's from last year:

http://www.espn.com/mens-college-basket ... /_/id/2350

Now ask yourself do you think the MVC will be stronger or weaker than its 16-17 iteration:

Our schedule is better but we have to win in the non-conference this season unlike 2016-2017 and avoid bad losses like 2016-2017. Also, the Valley is better than 2016-2017. Add in that the committee might shy away from egregiously snubbing Illinois State for the second time in three years if ISU is in that position again and you can probably lower it to 28-6. Maybe 27-7 if they're lucky and the stars align.

RPIs of ISUr 16-17 opponents: 230 L 178 67 L Non-D1 218 86 132 L 164 201 299 94 L 132

RPIs of 18-19 opponents( many of these teams should be about the same as they were or better I won't list round 3 of the MTE because it might get confusing but the possible round 2 opponents are separated by a slash

172 81 335 79 11\227 Non-D1 67 62 236 141 283 84

Average RPI(16-17) 150
Average RPI of known games: 140

Here are the MTE possibilities:

Average RPI with Georgia\Clemson\Creighton: 123

Average RPI with Georgia\Akron\Creighton: 139

Average RPI with Georgia\Clemson\St Bonaventure: 121* *Don't expect SBU to repeat a 24 RPI

Average RPI with Georgia\Akron\St Bonaventure: 138*

Average RPI with Georgia\Clemson\Boise State: 123* Don't expect Boise State to repeat 50 RPI

Average RPI with Georgia\Akron\Boise State: 140*

Average RPI with Georgia\Clemson\Georgia State: 129

Average RPI with Georgia\Akron\Georgia State: 145

Bear in mind that Georgia FGCU BYU SDSU Belmont UCF and Cleveland State should be better this year and we could even see some improvement from Ole Miss UIC and Creighton. Combined with an improved Valley it's a significantly better schedule.

Belmont and UCF could\ should be Q1 Georgia could be Q1 but definite Q2 Beyond that there should be 2 more Q1\2 opportunities in the MTE unless things get really weird. BYU and SDSU are solid Q2 FGCU UIC and Ole Miss should be Q3 Q4 for Cleveland State Chicago State and one wasted spot. Basivclly a 3rd Q4 3 Q3s and 7 Q1\Q2. Overall not too bad if you can win several of these and not stub your toe.
