They scored 89 points and he only had what, 6 or 7? I think they can win without him.

Win what without him?

I don't think losing Milik ends the hope for a bid. The guy fouls a lot and loses the ball a lot, too. After adding it all together hes better than average but not super good. One game he had 3 turnovers and 2 fouls (and a long time on the bench) before he even scored a point.

Hes the best player in the league. I am sure I speak for the rest of the league when I say we would love to see ISU try and win the league without him on the roster.

he can score 20 sure but when you turn the ball over 5 times...which he did in the exhibition game really its more like 10-15 points. I'm not saying it wouldn't hurt but they are so high scoring this year so far (like I said 89 with him only scoring 7) that hes not the end all.

Another over-reaction. We can't win the league without Milik.

Why not? 82 of their 89 points were from others. If they score 82 they will win most nights.

Only scored 57 points without him game one... Sure without him we could get lucky and win 3 straight in St. Louis in March but our odds are far far greater with him than without him. He is a tough matchup to guard for most valley teams with his size and versatility. Just needs to be there between the ears consistently

Honest question: is he the best player or does he just have the highest ceiling? When it comes to ISU I've always thought Fayne is there best player game in and game out.

If I had to win one game of 21, for all the marbles. I'd want MY.
If I had to build a team, I'd want Fayne.

Sorry I don't pick the guy who has 3/4 turnovers every game over the guy inside who doesn't turn it over a much and can score just as much. Fayne is more consitant. My does have the ability to just take over a game but we see that what 2/3 times per year. Not enough. I take Fayne all day.

This is kind of one of those, you can't blame Dan for what he said. The defensive performance was awful Saturday. No disrespect to the OVC, but I don't want to hear that Belmont is the favorite in that league, if you have any thoughts of going to the NCAA Tournament, you can't lose to Belmont.

With that said, now that Dan has buried his players, he better be ready to coach them up. If he is as good as he is made out to be, it's got to start now. Luckily it's game 2, and there is a way to go, but if they are playing bad in a month, then the blame is shared and pushed on Dan.

As for Milik, I have said for a long time, he needs to be kicked off the team. You can't get in that much trouble and just skate by, such a bad look for the program. With that said, he is here. And Dan, if you were willing to keep him on, you better figure out a way to get more out of him.
