Encouraging win over SMU, most guys played well, even Hodgson who frankly had been terrible lately but at least seemed to be in the right position on defense. DLO needs to stay out of foul trouble. That's 2 games in a row he gets 2 quick fouls in the first half and we lose our best defender and top 2-3 scorer.

Opportunity for big win tonight vs Penn State for the championship. Childs and Bar played big minutes yesterday and will have to again tonight.

Nice to see Childs bounce back after a disappointing showing at UIC. Might have been his best game at Bradley. Also love seeing Koch Bar continue to impress. His touch around the basket and confidence seems to have improved a ton from where he was a year ago. Instead of bailing out under pressure, he's looking for the shot and drawing contact.

Tonight will be Bradley's best opponent of the season in Penn State. They are going to need their 3pt shot to show up as I doubt they can dominate the paint like they did against SMU.

Congrats to Bradley. Good win yesterday vs SMU. It seems life for Tim Jankovich may be a bit harder without Larry Brown shielding him.

Regardless, if Bradley can play like that, they can absolutely challenge for this conference title this year. Loyola and ISUr are not as good as expected thus far.

Not sure Loyola fits that description, although today will tell more about them. They lost a tough game at home, but otherwise look to be finding the pieces . SIU[ injury] and ISUr have been the upper level teams that have fallen short. Right now I'd go Loyola then Bradley and not sure who looks to be ready to challenge after that. But today could change that for both.

Finally a truly good day for the Valley and a P5 win! Good job Bradley and Illinois State as well! Hopefully this is the start of a hot stretch of better play for the MVC as a whole!
