Good game Aces. Bears made a real run and you fought back and forced your will on us.
Now that the handshakes are over......Aces shot layups the whole first half. Ricks and Leonard couldn't guard a fencepost together. Rotation is non-existant. If you double our post, back off Ricks, make Leonard go to the hole, and attack Mallet and get him in foul trouble, Weems has to beat you by himself. Any guard with average quickness can have a career night making layups or droping off to the helpmans guy. Our offensive minded guys can't play D and our defensive minded guys must not have signed LOIs yet.

All the talk about UNI and WSU...let me remind both teams....they still have to come to Evansville. One, if not both could get beat."

82, whoa boy. We have not arrived yet. If we had any students at the game, they would have stormed the court.

We are mild and meek Evansville, taking it one upset at a time.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

We did have some students there tonight. The best was the 3 people dressed in work clothes. One guy took his shirt off(had a t shirt under his shirt) and got on his buddies shoulders waving his shirt. They were not in the student section and were not students. Those 3 younger people didn't sit the entire 2nd half.

We are 5-1 at home in conference play. I think it isn't too far fetched to say we could win those games. While you may think they would be upsets, I tend to think they are pick em games. Being an underdog by 4-5 points isn't an earth shattering upset.

Last I checked, MSU is at the top of the standings and still in this race. They have had a down stretch, but it is the same stretch UNI has to open the conference schedule. The Bears just need to right the ship quick and it will be a fun finish to the season.

A TEAM win for the Aces. All guys stepped up to contribute to the win. I have said it before...we may not have stars, or great hype (even have had to listen to a lot of put downs), but this team just flat out plays basketball...and we don't quit. It sounds simple, but it is working for us, and this girl loves it!

UE just simply isn't beating themselves anymore. That's not to say that they are unbeatable but they are taking care of the basketball and sharing it as well. Tonight they had 16 assists to 6 turnovers. 5 guys hit double figures and 2 more including leading scorer Colt Ryan finished with 9. Defensively they play a tough nosed man to man and the guys are more than willing to take a charge or dive on the floor for a loose ball. Lewis Jones just keeps getting better and better and it seems like a different guy steps up and is the star for that particular game. Having legitimate depth is so nice. Look at Jahr who goes out and puts up 16 and 14 out of nowhere vs ISU-B and then can't get off the bench in the 2nd half vs SIU and gets 6 minutes tonight. It's not because he can't play or anything changed since last week, other guys have continued to produce and it's great to see Lewis Jones continue to play well. We as fans have to do everything to support this group. It's been a while since UE has played at this level, let's enjoy it and show this kids how much the team means to us as fans and to the community as a whole, especially with the upper tier squads in WSU and UNI coming to town later this month.

This group of Aces is the best TEAM I can think UE has had in a quite a while in the way they play together and for each other. You can tell how much they believe in each other and how close knit they are. The contrast between UE and SIU the other night in that regard was mind blowing. This group is playing with a ton of confidence and it's a whole lot of fun to watch.

Next time you check I think you will have found that MSU has slipped to 3rd place since UNI non-conference SOS is better than MSU.
