The only way that Nebraska-Omaha offers upside is if (1) the MVC really wants back into Nebraska, and (2) the Valley has decided to start sponsoring hockey.

Murray State and Northern KY are just no-brainers at this point. Not sure why Elgin isn't making phone calls with university presidents and these two schools.

They also had 12 NCAA tournament appearances in D2 from 1995-2012. It's not like their success has been all the sudden recent. They've been consistently good for the past 24 years now.

For those of you that hate the XDSU schools as options, NDSU just won the Summit auto-bid today. Crazy thing is that the last time a school not named NDSU or SDSU has won the Summit auto-bid was in 2011. SDSU has won 5 in that time frame and NDSU has won 3.
