Double G Lobbying for Tennessee job?

Steve Pivovar reported in his chat yesterday that in basketball circles Gregg Marshall is known to be openly lobbying for the Tennessee job. Anyone in Wichita have any information on this?

Ya, in all of his weekly radio shows he has been talking about how much he wants to go to Tennessee. :roll:

Good for Gregg hope he ends up wherever he WANTS to be at....

seriously though I have only heard speculation but it does seem to be picking up steam. If it happens, it happens. I trust WSU is an attractive enough job to land another good coach should this happen anytime in the future. Plus, while we lose alot of our frontcourt there will still be enough in the cupboard for a good coach to come in and have some success.

Anyway, it's all just gonna be speculation at this point. Way to early to even discuss IMHO.

LOL exactly. I think SOME of what is making this rumor go is that Marshall was a finalist for the Tennessee job before Buzz Peterson was hired. If he was that interested then, I can imagine he may still be interested. Who knows, but again it's kind of early for this talk isn't it? I say we at least get through the regular season!!!

Not yet. But there is considerable speculation it will be open at the end of the season.

I know nothing on this topic but have a friend in Omaho who says Steve and Matt have been all over this story. We laughed at the possibility of it being made up completely from those sources. He said Matt P. was speculating this in his chat recently and since Steve did the same thing. I can't verify about the chat from Matty P. but am sure someone else could.

So, are Valley fans hoping that Marshall leaves or stays? If you hope he leaves, why?
