Drake picks up juco guard

Drake got a commitment today from Jonah Jackson, a 6'3" guard from John Logan JC in Illinois. He is originally from Merrillville, Indiana, where he was a high school teammate of current Bulldog DJ Wilkins. He will be one of five players on next year's Drake team from "The Region" in NW Indiana.

He shot 47% from 3-point range and averaged about 12 ppg.

Bulldogs currently have one scholarship remaining.

Pretty much the definition of a designated shooter; 106 of his 122 fgs were treys. Shot 88% from the foul line. Looks like a replacement for Ellingson. Decent size at 6'3, good juco program.

This is a great addition for the Bulldogs. I think spot up shooters can adapt toD1 pretty quickly.
