Salukis get first 2020 commitment

SIU got a verbal tonight from Wisconsin prep PG Dalton Banks. Can't remember too many Wisconsin kids going to Southern over the years, but Mullins has brought one in in each of his first two classes (Marcus Domask and now Banks).

With Aaron Cook graduating after this season, it made sense to ink a young PG as part of the 2020 class.

I suspect that assistant Pat Monaghan, most recently of the Milwaukee staff, was the main guy in this one as well as current freshman Marcus Domask, 2019 Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin.

Hoping at some point that we have some success in luring some bigs.

He's been lighting it up lately as well with games of 28,36 and 46. He's making a push for Mr. Basketball in Wisconsin. Could the Salukis grab that guy 2 years in a row???!!! :Yea!:
