MVCfans 10th Season!!

Today we begin the MVCfans.com preseason user poll to rank the MVC teams. We will work in reverse order, predicting the 10th place finisher this week and concluding with the predicted MVC champion chosen by our users between the last two teams remaining in week 9.

Valpo probably has more impact players than Southern, but intangibles and the vibe around the program swing Southern’s way. If Lottich can overcome the barrage of transfers, more power to him, but it certainly won’t be easy.

That said, you could make a case to pick either team last.

Southern lost a lot and I simply cant vote against Valpo because they always pull something out of their hat regardless of their situation (basically, a whole new team). So, until they prove otherwise I don't believe they will finish last.

People here are vastly underestimating what Valpo brought back. They don't have a ton of depth, but their starting 5 should be very solid. I'm not saying I love them but I'd be very surprised if they finished behind Southern.

I see Pippen is going to the NBA, maybe have to relook at Southern.

Neither Southern nor Valpo has much of a front court... and i absolutely love Freemans game, so i give Valpo a slight edge. Him, Robinson, Sackey, and Fazekas are all talented and a year older...

I do think Domask will be good for SIU though.

Looks like the race for last will be as close as the race for first. :huh:
