Postby BEARZ77 » October 19th, 2019, 11:19 am

Well we've seen the official MVC poll and we are halfway thru our own, but now it's time for personal accountability, so lets declare. Give your picks for the following:

* League standings 1-10
* 10 man ALL MVC Team
* COY
*POY
* NOY [Non Freshman]
*FOY
* Defensive POY
* Most Improved Player
*5 Man All Newcomer Team [ non freshman]

Lets stay focused, so no comments[ please] unless you include your picks; you got to pay to play.

Don't know nearly enough about all the other players to pick the freshman and newcomer teams but I'll guess on the standings

1. Missouri State - loaded with talent - not really a fan of Ford's style or antics but he's got the pieces to win it
2. UNI - They came on strong as the year went on and I expect them to be pretty good this year

From this point on - it gets really tough
3. Bradley - Should be the top of the remaining teams - they could finish 2nd if they build on last seasons finish - however, they could also revert to the form they showed for the early portion of the season last year.
4. Drake - Should be pretty solid
5. Evansville - Wild guess - but I think the pieces are there. Can McCarty coach and can he figure out how to use the depth he appears to have? If he can they could finish higher - if not could be a lot worse than this.
6. Loyola - I don't think they will be that good this year.
7. Indiana State - To me Indiana State is a wild card team - they could be better than this, but they are going to have to prove to me they can be consistent. They are one of the worst offenders in the conference of playing one huge game (usually against Evansville) and then laying 5 eggs in a row. If they can be consistent they could push Loyola, Drake, or Evansville into Thursday.
8. Illinois State - I have no idea what they will be
9. Valpo - I have no idea what they will be
10. SIU - Usually new coaches do not do well in year 1

There's my complete guess
