Looking forward to seeing Mo State play and hoping they can play well enough in the non-conference to build a case as a potential at-large, if they fail to win Arch Madness. They certainly have the pieces.

Speaking of Arch Madness ... are any Bears fans going to show in STL this year for a change?

Big Ozarks turnout would inject life into STL. Sea of maroon in 2011.

Agree. We are stacked from a talent standpoint. Now we'll see what Ford can do with all that talent.

I'm still smarting from 2001 when the 5 seed Sycamores beat 2 seed Bradley for the title. If the Braves win, Molinari might get an extension, studs Danny Granger and Joah Tucker might not transfer and who knows. Ah well I'm glad we have Wardle now.

I can anticipate the negative narrative if MSU is only pretty good or worse, but I still think we're a year away. I know what Drake did last year, but I just think it takes 3 years in most cases to build a program to the level necessary to win championships. Talent is one thing, but a winning culture has to be built and that's difficult to do with a heavy dose of 1-2 year players. I just think next year when we have a core of guys who have been together for 2-3 years is the time when we will be ready, even though we'd have lost guys like DaSilva , Cook, and West. There will be ample talent still on board in guys like Prim, Mosley, Ridder, Ford, Hall, Dixon, and Freeman, plus i'm sure we'll add some more. But this is why we play the games, and so lets see what the season holds. As always there will be surprises both good and bad; lets see who's who.

I go whenever I can, but for those of us who are in our 20s and are gainfully employed, it can be difficult to attend on Fridays. So if the Bears don't make it to Saturday then my chances of attending are very low. If they do make it to Saturday my attendance is nearly guaranteed. Two years ago I attended Thursday through Sunday even though the Bears were a Thursday team, but that was an aberration.

I go every year on Thursday regardless of when the Redbirds play. Put in time for requests off by Christmas every year (most years earlier). Any company should be able to be accommodating with a minimum of months days notices to take a Thursday afternoon and Friday off. You know the dates now, why not put in the request? Then you just work a little harder to get ahead the week before and week of and enjoy your time in STL.

:+1:

Also make sure your friends know not to schedule weddings for Arch or March Madness. True friends don’t make friends miss Arch or March Madness.

I've tried to do that the last several years and it hasn't worked out. Some of us have crazy 24/7 jobs and if something unexpected happens......
