Wins over Old Dominion (made the Dance last year), Toledo (made the NIT last year), Belmont (made the Dance last year and won a game, almost two). Three really good wins in the early going for the conference.

Won't talk about the two losses.

HUGE win for the ISU Redbirds over Belmont who's a sure shot for the NCAA tourney. Excellent win for the Valley...love it!

Redbirds looked good last night. Good ball movement. Stayed on Bruin shooters at crunch time, as well as made big shots in the ending minutes.

Had said everyone was sleeping on Illinois State; top 3 personnel in league and a coach with a .600 winning percent in the Valley. Dan lost his way with MY and that roster, but I think rebounds in a big way with this group. Lot of good young talent and they played cohesive basketball. Early for everyone, but I liked what I saw from the Redbirds.

Game wasn't nearly as close as the final score.

Kennesaw shot 8 times as many free throws as Drake.

Kennesaw is really bad, but I guess they hung with Creighton for a half.

Drake tied a school record with 17 three-pointers.
