UNI @ UE

Can UE bounce back from the Creighton game? How will UNI play w/o O'Rear? UE needs one, maybe two more wins to stay out of Thursday. On the flip side, a big push these last 5 games could move them up in the standings.

Barring a hot shoting night by UNI, I see UE winning this game by 5-8 points.

I would expect UE by 5.

UNI was very cold on Saturday, but hopefully they've made some changes.

This game actually opened at Northern Iowa -3. I have seen Evansville favored by a point now in some spots.

If you don't want UNI to have a hot shooting night, then play defense.

No excuses.

Thanks for the solid breakdown and the concern of the UE-UNI game.

Baller, a team can play defense and the opponent can shoot for 55% as opposed to 39%: it is a matter of the ball going through the hoop or not. So, we are going to play defense, but we are hoping the Panthers shoot 39% and not 55%.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

Well that sure is a change in attitude since the UNI@WSU game. After that game you came on here whining that UNI shot "the game of their lives".

Some of your quotes after you played UNI:

UNI shot the game of their lives. They shot nearly 60%. This from a team who hovers around 40% and puts up about 45 a game on the road. WSU defense wasn't bad; it's just UNI went apecrazy. It happens.

There were a lot of contested shots though that UNI was draining like they were at an NBA camp. Sometimes, the rare occurrence happens when a team will play pretty good D and the other team (or player(s)) will just simply "go off".

This is the kind of night I am saying UE needs to avoid. If UNI does not have a hot night, I like UE's chances here.

Most of the odds on vegasinsider.com now show the UE-UNI game as a pick. I'm picking the ACES.
