AIr Force coach dropped hints before the season and then again this past week about leaving the MWC. Possibly join Navy as a football add to the AAC.

Nice troll account. Just because I haven't commented on it until now doesn't mean I haven't noticed.


If the AAC adds a 12th team and it requires a corresponding Olympic add, the MVC could be forced to make a move because I think the Olympic team would be VCU and Loyola would be the A10's target. The institutional fit in all cases is just too great to ignore.

IF we have to make a move it HAS to be Murray State. I'm not going to advocate going to 12 in this round because I don't think there's another program out there besides the Racers that can consistently compete and win credits in March (Belmont isn't coming and we know that) and without a true flagship program we are in no position to bet on potential so that should leave UIC Milwaukee NKU and (as if they were ever really a candidate) GCU off the list if the presidents care at all about the viability of the MVC as a serious mid major basketball conference in the future. I like NKU and Wright State but not enough to dilute the pie. I would always be willing to revisit this when either program (or both programs or any of the major city programs I listed for that matter) show something though.

I've been praying that the A10 takes Loyola off of our hands. Murray State is a better program anyways, and they have football and baseball.

I would also rather be in the MWC than the AAC, but I guess it doesn't mean Colorado State or someone else wouldn't make a move.
