This should be interesting how it plays out this year.

The seating bowl was the last phase of the work going on.

I can only base what I have seen from Hockey but the seating arrangements and size of sections in the lower bowl different.

my only complaint with this tournament is ticket allocation. I hate that some people pay the same price for a higher up corner seat as some people pay for almost mid court and closer. If I ever end up in a corner seat I will complain until they find a way to refund me some money or move me to a better seat. Its all luck with where you end up seated. Some years my seats are great, some years they aren't so good. That's frustrating when you pay the same price regardless.

It's not luck, its how good your team is. Get a top 2 seed and you'll have nice seats right behind the benches. Finish 10th and it's corner city.

The money thing is laughable. Concerts and literally every ticketed event work the same way.

And it guarantees fan bases sit together which enhances the experience.

100 level tix
B1G - $400
A10 - $350 for prime, $275 for corners/baseline
MVC - $155

Plus, you can still buy non-fan block midcourt seats for $219 off ticketmaster. We’re lucky. Arch Madness offers the best of both worlds at the best price.

This is so false I do not even know where to start. A few years ago Evansville was the 1 or 2 with Valentine and their seats were half way up and wrapped around to the corner. ISU is a top 2 seed often and gets stuck in an upper corner. Wichita would always be the 1 and their whole fan base was behind the basket. Meanwhile, Indiana State is rarely a high seed and I have seen their seats right at center court and the lowest of any fan base.

And yeah, I should be paying way less to watch the MVC as opposed to the BIG10 which has about 10 tournament teams and more games with much better basketball...

I cannot even believe you think what was said was true... The seats behind the benches are reserved for certain people of the the school sitting there. They literally change every game. the smugness of these UNI fans is getting unreal. Wichita 2.0, congrats.

I think it's largely due to the # of all sessions sold. The Thursday teams typically bring less fans, which cause them to be stacked up and often closer to the court. Thats the way it seems anyway.

It'll be interesting to see how Illinois State Fans represent, they typically travel really well, but we all see how the season has gone. A ton of Birds fans I've talked to still plan on being down there the whole weekend regardless of the team's performance. I'll go out on a limb here and say the Birds will have the most fans of any 9th place team in the history of Arch Madness. :D

Dude, I've been as complimentary of Mullins on this board as anyone.

The allocation is all about what is going to look good on TV and that's why its done the way it is. You can pretty much guarantee the teams most likely to be on the bench side are going to be those with the best shot to be there Saturday and Sunday. Wichita and Creighton always got wrapped around so far because there were so many of them. Hell, I hope Mullins does what I think he can do because SIU will bring tons of people being so close, lets just hope they buy all-sessions so that they can have that big awesome looking block of people.

This year you can pretty much guarantee that UNI, Loyola and Bradley will be behind the benches and wrapped around behind the baskets with the other fan bases scattered on the other side.
