I wonder how SIU fans really feel about this win. They have to be torn. To win on the road to a team that was playing for everything but on the other hand did it give Lowery a cushion.
It gives Lowery no cushion. He's done. This group has dealt with a bunch and I'm glad we won. Coach Cblow coached better than Greegggggggg and the kids were tougher tonight. YippY!!!!!
They're officially off the NCAA bubble (if you believed they had an at-large shot anyway).
If they don't win in STL - and they have never won in STL - this season is really no better than last year, despite all of the pre-season hype.
Note that they could definitely win in STL and are probably the favorite to do so.
This is why you have to schedule up when you have the team to do it. You have to allow for some bad losses down the line. Their entire season rested on the UConn game.
I'm interested in WSU fans' take about why they laid an egg in this one. Home game, tight conference race, bad opponent, NCAA hopes, etc...
My first question is, why is this place allowed to be like ValleyTalk when WSU goes down? Are we that high up the mountain, that when we lose, it's that much of an achievement for everybody else? I guess I can take it as a compliment.
Anyways, we played like poop. SIU played inspired and hit big shots. Congrats to the 7000 who made it out in the blizzard. Only Shocker fans..
Koch arena is officially the easiest place to play in the valley. 10000 fans means nothing if your team can't play at home.
Unfortunately due to a blizzard for another weekend game (UNI the other one), only 7,000 or so were able to make it. Please check your facts before making yourself out to be a you-know-what.
6-0 on the road. I guess that's the promising thing since we have 3 of em left. Sweep those and we still win. Pretty funny how that stuff works out, isn't it? lol.
Karma stinks.....doesn't it? As an Aces fan, I am ready for Saturday's game at Bradley....but I cannot wait until next Tuesday when we host the Shockers at Roberts Stadium.
