As a UNI fan, I'm pretty terrified of a Bradley/Loyola 4/5 game in St Louis and that sits squarely in the realm of possibility right now.

If someone had told me that my beloved Salukis would not be playing Thursday this year, I'd had advised you to flush your stash before the authorities showed up. But, low and behold, BMull has the guys in a groove right now and I truly think that playing Thursday is now not something to be concerned about.

There are genuine concerns I have that I'm sure are shared with fans of other teams as well. We can still run 8-9 guys our there for a game but are essentially getting little or no offensive production from anyone on the bench except Karrington Davis. The minutes that Domask and McGill especially are racking up has this fan very, very concerned. Sure hope the other bench members step it up and soon!

After SIU beat Drake this past weekend, Mike Reis mentioned that the Salukis are now mathematically eliminated from the PIG. I have not bothered to check, I'm just enjoying the ride!!

PS- we miss you BOB!

Yeah, that is definitely not the case. Even 1 more win would not mathematically take away Thursday just yet.

I don't know about you all but Thursday is my favorite thing to monitor down the stretch every valley season. Lots of teams jockeying here. The way MSU has played the last couple weeks makes me think they are going to avoid Thursday. Valpo and Drake going to join Evansville and ILL ST? Indiana State in some danger? everyone else seems safe.

Missouri State has been a completely different team the last three games. Losing at the buzzer in Carbondale stung bad, but the effort was there and they had a great chance to win.

Things turned for the better during the second half of the Indiana State game on Feb. 1st, Ford basically threw in the towel and said screw it, and played walk on Ross Owens for the entire second half. He played his ass off. Owens has been starting ever since, along with freshmen Jamonta Black, Senior Tulio DaSilva, and juniors Josh Hall and Gaige Prim. Black, Hall, and Prim have always been effort and team first guys. They hustle and defend. He has been bringing Keandre Cook first off the bench. Scorers Mosley and Lamont West have seen minutes come and go, depending on their effort on the defensive end.

Will this turnaround continue and get the Bears into the top half? That remains to be seen, but they have certainly looked like the team that was picked to win the league the last few times out.

Agreed, 2 really tough games in a row for them. They also seem like the type that a 2 game losing streak and they may just fold it up.

No team should want any part of MO State if they continue to play like they have in the last week and a half. What impresses me the most is their bench production. So much depth and talent on this team that can wear out teams very quickly. I believe their bench has scored 93 points in the last 3 games combined.

If they continue their current "team" play and effort, finish strong, then I think they will be in a position to make a run in STL. It would be nice to see them recover from this twilight zone of a season.

after watching MSU dismantle ISU this afternoon I think it's safe the Bears will escape Thursday.
