An ambitious pick, but not like it was out of the realm of possibility. Certainly closer than those who had UE winning the league. Or heck, if we win the last two we'll be closer to 17-1 than MSU will be to winning the league which pretty much EVERYONE predicted. We've been in every game.

A 17-1 league season has happened before, quite recently actually, and can certainly happen again. (And I don't mean specifically by UNI.....who has never done better than 16-2).

It's not about one comment or just you. I think the nail was hit on the head earlier in this thread. UNI fans have come across on here as if losing to other MVC schools is out of the realm of possibility. Always somebody else's fault. I have seen comments such as there is no way we should be losing to this terrible SIU team etc... Then I have seen replies to other comments in other threads and there are multiple UNI fans who have all the sudden become all knowing, spewing what they seem to think are facts inaccurately and doing it in a way to bring down the person they're talking to. I have made this comment about 5 times this year, the fans on this board are starting to feel like WSU fans did at the end of their time in the MVC.

It's all good, though. Maybe I was bitter about blowing a 10 point lead to share the conference lead and overreacted. Let's drop it and enjoy the last week and Arch Madness.

If UNI fans were WSU fans this is what MVCFans would look like:

- There would be 10 pages griping about officiating, flopping, & how they’re everyone’s Super Bowl. Bonus: a conspiracy the host team denied them their morning practice.

- Throw in 5 more pages exclaiming how their program is the country’s sleeping giant but is handicapped by a league where no one “tries”.

- A dozen “EU”, “NIU”, “D+”, & “LOLoyola” references as they quote each other with laughing emoticons like these were the funniest little jokes they ever heard.

- Approximately 18 mentions of charter flights.

- A financial breakdown of the coach’s salary and how - here’s a secret - less than 5% of it is funded by a billionaire.

- Finally, “PantherFever/UNIbballer” would retreat to PantherNation to post a twitter picture of an ISUr poster and his wife, and degrade her looks where no one will bat an eyelash.
