I feel differently about playing Izzo again tho we would accept the challenge lol. Thats a big giant. Ill take the rematch but in the Elite 8 not out the gates. I will say last years Spartan match up went well other than having less points at the end. We played our buts off. I dont think they go that route with a remach. Id rather play , Big Blue or Butler, Hopin to have a match up with the Illini somewhere down the road. Maybe we draw the Terps. I know Bill Self is hoping for anyone BUT Bradley lol They are imo the most talented team in the nation , so Bill i apoligize, its I lol that begs anyone but Kansas.

I would love to get back to St. Louis as a Bradley fan, as that would be a huge advantage for the Braves for sure. I want no part of Michigan State again, as they will be much more ready for us this year, then they were last year. Bradley probably would have won that game last year if not for the ridiculous free throw shooting by the Spartans. They went 25 of 26 from the free throw line including hitting their 1st 20 in a row. Their first miss was with 1 minute left after the game was decided. They shoot their normal percentage, and Bradley very well could have won that game last year.

1 time in 30 years. I just embraced the chaos for the year. It will go back to normal next year.

Tournament would have looked a lot different if Loyola makes more than 14 of 27 Free throws.

They are dead last in FT % as a team in the Valley on the year at 65%. ISUr was in 9th place, a full 6% better at 71.1% on the year.

Just did a quick search, and it appears FT shooting cost Loyola maybe 3 games this year. The 3rd game of the year vs. Coppin State (22 of 34 for game in 4 point loss). The 3rd Valley game of the year at Drake (6-13 for the game in a 3 point loss). And then against Valpo, so the worst time for it to happen.

Sorry, sarcasm didn't come through. It felt like they shot about 25% in that game.

If Krutwig is going to have the ball all the time, he's got to shoot 75%. Uguak looks just lost when he steps up as well...

Can we change the subject?! BU/UNI vs. LU in the ship would have been so fun. UGH. The 3 games those teams played at full strength (Childs missed the first game against LU) were instant classics with huge swings for both teams. Even though we lost at UNI I remember the game fondly.

If you really want to get into free throws… of the 11 games we lost, 7 of them would be wins had we hit all of our free throws. I understand that’s not realistic at all… but when your offense is really built around driving to the rim and drawing contact you have to hit at a higher rate than we did(and we absolutely lost 3 games where all we had to do was hit a respectable amount of shots). A lot of players hit well below their career averages too, so hopefully we regress to the mean some.

Credit to Valpo though for a great run! And BU for taking care of business.
