MVC Schedules

Evansville's schedule looks absolutely awesome so far!

@Purdue
@SMU
In-season Home and Home with Belmont

I assume the series with Murray State will be renewed or continued.

MTE with Fresno State Oakland and Pepperdine.

I like it.

Indiana State traveling to Purdue as well. Can Valpo get in on this too and have Purdue play all 3 Indiana MVC teams? Would be great and mutually beneficial because Evansville will be better than last year ISUb will be pretty good and Valpo should be very solid as well! Hopefully one of us would be able to pull off a victory!

Anybody know anything else going on for MVC schools?

Also teams from the MVC should call up Furman.

This is bad...

Even the MAC is exploring expanding its conference schedule to 20 or (gasp) 22

https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/status ... 7602912256

We need to band together as a consortium of leagues (AAC A10 WCC MWC MVC MAC SOCON CAA CUSA for starters) and work to increase the number of Q1 and Q2 opportunities for teams in every league. Playing the bottom of our own leagues isn't going to help us challenge for at large bids. Don't just give up when the solution is right in front of you. It's time to think big. If mid majors pursuit of at large bids is going to fail then at least we can fail ambitiously and create interesting schedules for our fans. Let's collude the way the P5\BE have colluded against us. It can only help us.

CUSA changing up their scheduling as well. Considering divisions (a great idea). I would also consider (if I were them) adding one team to each division (NMSU and a school out east looking for better opponents they might have to bite the bullet and take Liberty if they want to challenge for at large bids.)

This is good news. Because I think we have several teams that are strong enough to take the fight to the high majors and win on their turf.

Next year (2020-2021), Loyola will be in the Myrtle Beach Invitational with Charlotte, Dayton, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn, Pittsburgh and Utah State.

In 2021-2022, Loyola will be in the Battle 4 Atlantis with Michigan State, UConn Syracuse, Arizona State, Auburn, VCU and one TBD team.

Big opportunities. Wish we could switch years as next year's Loyola team is primed to be really good--would love to see them get a shot at big name programs.

Well done by the staff--the Final Four Bump.

Here's what's known about Bradley's schedule so far:

Home
St. Joseph's
Miami (OH)

Road
Toledo (Nov. 14)

Paradise Jam: St. Bonaventure, Buffalo, Little Rock, FIU, Long Beach St, Weber St, Cleveland St. (Colorado St was originally in the field, but were replaced last week by Little Rock)

Toledo opens their season with back-to-back Valley games, hosting Valpo on November 10, then Bradley on the 14th.

For Missouri State not much confirmed. We are playing in the Jamaica Classic Nov 20-23 . So far there are 3 of 8 teams confirmed: us, UMASS, Wake Forrest. We have a Nov.13/14 date @ UALR. Based on last years schedule we probably have return dates @Murray St, @Ark St, and home vs ORU. I expect an emphasis on more local scheduling due to budget constraints so would expect games like SEMO or KC as possibilities. Along that theme would love to see SLU or Tulsa return on our schedule. Also expect looking at buy games to help the budget out so again maybe games against Arkansas, K- ST ect might pop up. I think schedules will be very interesting this year.

UNI has signed a home/home with Richmond that starts out there (presumably to pair with the Marshall trip).

That might be the best 'mid-major' non-conference game in the country next year.
