Saturday's Games

Home team in CAPS. Opening lines given. 19-11 ATS heading into the weekend.

INDIANA STATE (-9) vs. Drake

The Sycamores are 7-3 ATS this year as favorites, 4-2 ATS as conference favorites. They are also 7-3 ATS at home,
4-2 ATS in conference home games. They are, however, 0-2 ATS in their last two home conference games. It's hard to play against Indiana State in this role, but we have to play Drake's run. They are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games, including 2-0 ATS in their last two conference road games. They have also covered their last 5 games as an underdog. The run continues for Drake. PREDICTION: Indiana State 72-68

BRADLEY (-2) vs. Evansville

Two hot teams against the spread. Bradley is on a 3-0 ATS run in their last 3, but gives little else to play on here. They are 2-9 ATS at home, 1-5 ATS in conference home games. They are also only 1-6 ATS when favored this year. The Aces are on a 5-0 ATS run in their last 5 games. They are nothing better than .500 for the year in road or underdog roles but their recent run and Bradley's year against the number says play Evansville.
PREDICTION: Evansville 75-72

Missouri State (-6) @ ILLINOIS STATE

The Redbirds burned us last game at home but we need to come right back to them. They only 3-9 ATS at home this year and 2-5 ATS in conference home games. So how can we play them? Well, they are 5-5 ATS as underdogs in the conference and we have to continue playing against the Bears. Something we have been doing with success for some time. They are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games! They are also only 2-8-2 ATS as a conference favorite. Don't think Illinois State can pull out the "W", but take the points. PREDICTION: Missouri State 68-66.

Wichita State (-2) @ NORTHERN IOWA

The Panthers are 2-0 ATS in conference games as an underdog. They not only covered, they won outright at Missouri State and at Wichita. They are 5-2 ATS as underdogs for the year. They are 5-4 ATS at home and only 3-4 ATS in conference home games. This is a play though on the Shocks. We have ridden them on the road for some time and they have delivered. 6-0 ATS in conference road games! Despite the home melt downs, they are 10-4 ATS in the conference, 12-6 ATS as favorites. Losing at home to SIU in their last game may have been the best thing in regards to playing this game. The focus is strong, revenge is on thier mind, and O'Rear is out which hurts the Panthers inside. Love the Shockers here. PREDICTION: Wichita State 71-62.

I like WSU at -2. UNI is struggling without O'Rear and will have a tough time matching up inside with WSU. Pocketaces are you going to do the Bracket Busters for the MVC games. Thanks for the info and you seem to be having a very good year with your picks.

I will do the Bracket Buster games although it is tough to get a read when teams step out of conference at this time of year. Sometimes the early season trends aren't useful and obviously you won't use the conference season trends.
