Hopped onto shockernet for a few minutes. There was an unverified report there that he pitched a fit when he was told the news and was then escorted off campus. If true that's really not surprising to anyone that watched some of his sideline antics over the years.

Also a lot of comments over Patty Beamer’s involvement, and how she was effectively the one to take down Gregg Marshall.

If the NCAA investigated all former and successful coaches lets say from the 70's and early 80's.Thet would find out,by todays standards 75% would be considered abusive coaches

What the hell does that have to do with today? A lot of things in life were acceptable back then. Doesnt mean we should allow them now because we did in 1931.

Many of you may have tracked the Muller-Marshall rivalry over the years. It's rumored the two nearly came to blows after a game at ISU one season when Marshall was banging on the Redbirds' locker room door. Muller was asked about Marshall in our local paper and had this to say.

"If those things are true, and if the stories I've heard over the years I have no doubt they are, they have no place in our game at all," said Muller about the allegations against Marshall.

"You can have intensity and high expectations and standards, but there's a line you shouldn't cross. The coach over there is a heck of a basketball coach. I will always say that. But the way I was treated by him — and people I know very well were treated by him — you just lose respect for people at certain times no matter how successful you are."

Good for Muller, and good riddance to Marshall.

Marshall is out at Wichita State. He gets to "resign" and cash a $7.5 million check on his way out.

I do not think we've seen the last of him and in today's world of craziness, I wouldn't be surprised to see him back at Wichita State within the decade. Who knows?
