Bears have as bad a schedule as I've ever seen, but I understand the approach for this year so I won't complain. Bears looked to maximize revenue and limit covid exposure and did seem to accomplish that. Couldn't get a decent buy game so they opted for all home games with whoever they could get to come to JQH, which weren't many. Had a few teams that were scheduled opt out of contracts and had to scramble. Given we are allowing 3990 in attendance, if we can approximate that, we shouldn't take too big a hit with 7 home noncon games and 9 conference for a fairly normal 16 game home schedule with attendance . That said, the only solid game we got was Arkansas Little Rock. With 8 newcomers and no one of significance with more than 1 year D-1 experience, should be the kind of schedule that builds a little confidence, allows alot of players to get their feet wet, and thankfully we play the one solid team {UALR} last, so that the conference opener against UNI won't be a total shock in upgrade.
That said here it is:
Evangel[ Local NAIA}
Ecclesia {Ark. D-2 I think]
Central Arkansas
Mississippi Valley State
SE Louisiana
Northwestern state
UALR
Go 7-0 and that's still probably a 280+ NET; but it is what it is. Like I said, I understand the rationale[ safety and money] and then you just try to get teams. And given the current state , who knows how many of those games even happen. But at least they're all home games, so no travel issues, no increased exposure , and hopefully some $$$.

The Bear is the largest carnivore on the North American continent; beware the Bear!
