Going 3-0 in that and scoring two top 12 wins would be so awesome for UNI and go a long way towards cementing their case. Hope it happens!

UNI has left the Lincoln event and is going to Sioux Falls to play in what is left of what was Battle 4 Atlantis.

Open with West Virginia on the 25th.
Winner/Loser of Memphis/St Mary's on 26th
Wichita/Creighton/Utah State/South Dakota State on 27th.

I love pandemic scheduling.

That Nebraska MTE seems to be completely falling a part. I'm sure there will still be games played over there but it seems teams were promised a certain amount of games against a certain level of competition, and that wasn't delivered.

I know GGG is gone from Wichita now, but it would still be wonderful to see the Panthers beat the heck out of Wichita. Creighton would be another fun former MVC match up.

I can't imagine how furious Nevada is. They walked in promised games with LSU, UNI and Nebraska and they ended up with only two against Western Kentucky and Chadron State.

Evansville Non-Conference Slate

11/25 at Louisville
11/27 Prairie View A&M (N) Part of the Louisville bubble/pod
12/2 at Tennessee Martin
12/6 vs IUPUI
12/9 vs Eastern Illinois
12/12 at Saint Louis
12/15 vs Southeast Missouri
12/21 vs Belmont

Aces get 8 chances to figure some things out before conference play, that's my biggest take away. UE replaces SIU in Louisville to open the season, getting two games out of it. Then the schedule is OVC heavy from there with, spanning the league top to bottom as far as quality. Old MCC foe Saint Louis and an in state game vs IUPUI round it out. This year is very unique and no guarantee that all 8 games get played with all that's going on, but a team full of newcomers and returners needing to step into bigger roles needs reps, some against better talent (UofL, SLU, Belmont) and some against teams you should beat (IUPUI, SEMO) at home.

Not bad for where Evansville is right now. Valpo's should be coming out soon according to our beat writer. Not sure what to think. I know there will be some good games but probably a lot of meh and a little groan.

Just checked. They don't seem to care because they say SOS and RPI or whatever they use this year doesnt matter to the team this season because theyre a .500 program so their only hope is win the MWC tournament anyway. Good way of thinking. Get an early easy game to build confidence when youre not a good team.

Here's Valpo's schedule... It's not the worst abomination I've ever seen but it's not great... They get a pass from me personally because of COVID and the realities that brought on but it's an okay but not super exciting schedule... Two non D1s is way too many. We had a game with Charlotte we didn't get to keep which might be why the second non D1 and I really wish we had gotten a better MTE (UIC and Trinity) Who knew the one we would have been in had there been no Pandemic would have been so much better than the one we ended up in?

@Vanderbilt
Trinity International (Non D1 UIC MTE)
@UIC
@Purdue
Judson (Non D1)
SIUE
@Central Michigan
Eastern Michigan
@Toledo

Honestly this might be a reason why I harp so much on the MVC adding Murray State even without a 12th because the extra conference games would perhaps make it so that our school will stop scheduling so many non-D1s and put more thought in the opportunities they do have in the non-conference....
