Former Bear Keandre Cook has signed with the Charlotte Hornets as an undrafted player following the NBA draft . He was rumored to be a late possible 2nd round interest of several teams, but signed with Charlotte when he went undrafted. Doesn't surprise me alot as Keandre's length, athleticsm, and ability to make shots all translate well to the pro game. He was always a bit of a contrast for me in that I loved his shot making, thought he played hard and was a solid guy personally, but had difficulty with decision making and turnovers on the court. Probably would not have been as big a deal if we didn't have 3-4 players who were just as turnover and mistake oriented last year. Anyway congrats to Keandre as he has never received the notice he perhaps should have.
On the same day the Indiana Pacers decided not to extend Alize Johnson, so he becomes a free agent. Not sure if that's good or bad for "Ze" . He's dominated in the G league averaging his typical double-double, but gottne very little opportunity with the Pacers at the NBA level. He started one game for them this year and imagine this, recorded a double /double in his only NBA start. Not sure what the Pacer's were looking for, so maybe there's a place that will value how hard he plays and his production on the boards.
