We, as a community, do not need this sort of thing posted here. I don't know why it was.

We certainly don’t want reasoned discussion to occur. Oh, the horror...

If you feel that misinformation like this is "reasoned discussion" it is indeed a horror. And worse, the people who believe this crap are further perpetuating the crisis as a result.

This is no more "reasoned" than what one would find on a QAnon forum, which is where this belongs.

More and more team shutting down for positive cases. Have to wonder if leagues will be able to sustain any lengthy virus free periods to get a majority of their games in.

Loyola's 12/16 game with Duquesne canceled due to COVID issues with Duquesne. But Loyola nabs a game with Richmond for 12/18 in Indy.

We are the unwilling, led by the unqualified, to do the unnecessary.

UNI canceling last two non con games and going on pause for the week. No COVID issues but citing other injuries and overall mental health.

Sending everyone home for the week and will re-enter COVID protocols to be ready for league play.

That's a pretty drastic type step. Is it just me or is that "we feel done with the season" type talk? I mean by sending guys home, you likely increase the COVID exposure circles from what they were. I get that the season has been a string of losses so far, but there's still a lot to fight for and some very good play going on.

First and foremost I hope the guys are well physically and mentally. Hopefully they come back stronger...

I didn't know you could just randomly cancel games. Do these go down as forfeits?

The Wisconsin game is moving to next year.

UNI was really going to be at 6 scholarship players for the week. I don't think they'll be the last ones to decide to take a break before Christmas here. Kids have been on campus since June.

I think this year given the circumstances you can cancel your non-conference games and get away with it. Come conference play I don't think you could get away with it. Also if it weren't for COVID this year there would likely be penalty clauses in non-conference game agreements. I don't see this becoming a long-term trend.

If UNI comes back and wins Arch Madness they might regret not playing these games for March Madness seeding purposes. At the same time very few are likely thinking about March right now.
