SIU at CU

Postby cu8493 » February 13th, 2011, 8:27 am

A win tonight probably assures CU of no worse than 6th. How many years has it been since CU was looking for a win in its 15th game to stay out of the play-in round? A win puts CU 2 games out of 7th place with 3 to play (two at home). At this point, it really doesn't matter whether CU finished 6th or 4th. Going to have to beat everyone at some point, and match-ups don't seem to matter much. We can play with anyone in the league on a given night, and we can get beat by anyone in the league on any given night.

Every game seems to come down to whether we can get any production from the 2 or 3 spots. If we do, we win. If we don't, its trouble.

After beating WSU at Koch in the upset of the year so far, I have absolutely no idea what to expect out of SIU. I'll take the 9.5 points but am worried we'll get run out of the gym since we are so thin with the suspensions.

Jays win 69-50. Probably the best and most complete game the Jays have played all year. GE w/12 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Hopefully this will jumpstart the Jays.

The Blue Birds did what the Shockers could not do - defeat a Y.M.C.A. team at home.

I would not put too much stock in the win over the Doggies.

The Doggies are not a very good basketball team.

We aren't either so even though they are the dogs, this is a "blowout" in CU terms. The jays usually play close to every opponent no matter how good or bad they are.
