2021 Arch Madness Seeding Projections

Typically I don't supply this until a portion of the conference season has been played, but as it always provides good banter and is fun to track during the season, here are the pre-conference Arch Madness seeding projections. Have at it!

Interesting that for the two teams with hot starts, in those projections Drake is getting lots of love, SIU not so much, yet SIU has the better wins.

They have the better WIN. Not plural they beat Butler, but Butler is 1-3, so no idea how good they are. Butler's only victory is a four point decision over one win Western Michigan. Salukis have not beat a team with a winning record, just like Drake.

Jeez they grow them sensitive up in Iowa. It’s also the best win the valley has so far.

9-0 is quite the impressive record! The Drake is by far the absolute favorite heading into the Valley season. Perhaps the Salukis should not even make the trip January 3rd.

I certainly did not dispute that.

No prob, just to add on butler just beat providence by 10. A team picked 3 in the big east and will probably be a top 50 team. Without their best two players.

Butler and Murray State are much better wins than anything Drake had. Drake took care of business though in convincing fashion against everyone they played so hard to argue with that. We'll find out how good they are when conference play starts.

SIU definitely has the better wins; Drake hasn't played anybody that would be considered a good win. Kansas State seemed like a good win at the time; now, not so much.

Drake fans realize the schedule has been easy. But, it's not so much the 9-0 record that has Drake fans excited, but the way they've blown everybody out. Only game that wasn't a blowout was the K-State game, and that was a 10 point win. Would have been a blowout if Drake would have shot the 3 the way they usually do. The other 8 victories have all been by 16+ points. I don't care how easy the schedule is, that isn't easy to do.

SIU and Drake have one common opponent in North Dakota. SIU beat them twice by 12 and 21. Drake beat them by 33. To put some perspective, Minnesota (ranked in top 25 now) only beat North Dakota by 9. It's dangerous to put much into comparative scores, but Bulldogs have been impressive thus far.

We'll see how they do against real competition shortly.
